i wonder if its true what they say about cornell in the "scene" section?

EFFF i dont give a rats ass about the weather!! i hate being rejected :(

I am sorry biggyboy. That sucks !

where can you see pics/vidoes/virtual of the dorms?
what do you think is the best dorm to live in?

when will they release the decisions for engineering school? anyone knows?????

bump~~~~~~~~~~

For the college of engineering, your decision date depends on your major and how strong of a candidate you are. For nearly all departments, there is a "quota" as to how many they can accept.

I visited yesterday and now I am freaking out a bit. I really am wondering "how worth it" it is to go to Cornell. I liked the campus (and yes, very hilly and spread out) -- however some things were a huge turnoff. Specifically - their riding program made me cringe. I wanted to ride for Cornell's team but now I am not so sure.

However - the academics looked top notch! The campus is very pretty and the library system is superb!

Anyone else having second thoughts?

just because of the riding? lol

riding program? what the? what kind of "riding" is this?

idk
he pretty much says that everything is amazing except for the riding program...
so why would you feel its not worth it?
im confused...

what were some other things that were huge turn offs?

Ha ha. I should explain.

I ride horses - specifically hunters and equitation. I rode varsity level in high school, coached my team, and when I went to college (my previous) I attended the best riding school on the East Coast (Sweet Briar College). Horses have been my life for years...and riding is huge for me. If the barns are not immaculate...well...that just leads me to see how imprortant animals and student activites are to the University. And I know...this makes me sound like a phsycotic wingnut - but I'm not. I just care about my college sport.

i called the admission office today, they said my files has been forward to second major department, does it mean I got rejected by the first major I applied? does anyone know what is the "quota" for mechanical engineering depatment?

Other huge turnoffs: Campus is very very spread out. Even large state schools can usually contain themselves. Long walking distances to everything.

I don't know. Maybe I was just looking for that "feeling" and I didn't get it.

I cannot fault anything about their faculty or academics or research. All were superb and top notch. The buildings were clean and classrooms looked to be a decent size.

are u still going schneider?

School is over now, so it is hard to get a "feeling" for the school from a visit yesterday. Only seniors remain at school this week.

While the campus is large and spread out, most people don't have to travel all over for classes, but it would depend on your major. The bus runs throughout the school.

how can you know about the academics and research of a university just by walking around... that's an absurd proposition

well i hope to see everyone at Cornell... are we making a facebook group or something?

maybe he saw a lot of awards walking around the halls?

did everyone send in their deposit? have you gotten conformations about it yet? i sent mine in yesterday and was just wondering if i would get anything in the mail soon...
