Hook (if any): 7 year Theater senior at an arts magnet school in Colorado (6-12). Over 800 hours community service designing and making costumes for the Physically Handicapped Amateur Musical Actors League over the past two years at the Denver Performing Arts Center. Professional actor...uh, tons of costume design/theater experience. hundreds of hours worth of work, both at school, in the community and for professional companies. I've been working for an Interior designer for the last 6 months. National Merit Scholarship finalist..thing. National Honor Society honors and awards. Helped start the French Club at my school. Lived in Russia during the collapse of the Soviet Union, traveled overseas extensively (parents jobs). Self taught artist, seamstress.

State or Country: Colorado
School Type: Arts magnet school
Ethnicity: White
Gender: Female
Other factors: Great portfolio. I spent a ton of time on it and every other school I'd showed it to really responded to it. My interview (with an alumnus) went really well.
General Comments: I have absolutely no idea what happened. In the letter they sent me (and I don't know if it was just a generic letter or not) they said they thought everything was impressive but they didn't think I was a good fit for the school and they weren't going to defer me because, basically, I didn't have a chance in hell of getting in. So. really no idea what happened there. Guess I'll try again next year. But congrats to everyone who got in.

please add me if you are admitted to ED thx :)

PiggybankD,
Don't loose hope. From last year's results, I have seen kids who got rejected at one school get in easily in another Ivy. What were your ECs like?
Are you a BCA student by any chance?
Good luck with other RD applicns.
