Don't lose hope. I was deferred ED from ILR, and then waitlisted for RD, and I got accepted in the end. :)

tun, was it worth the wait? What are your plans after ILR? What would you say were the lower end stats among your fellow ILR admits?

Considering that I was going to go to Boston College, yes, it was worth the wait. I'm only a freshman, so I have no idea what I want to do after ILR, but I was thinking something maybe in the sports labor field. I'd say I was about the target area in terms of stats. I had a 2170 SAT, 91.x GPA, good SAT II scores, lots of community service EC's, and good recs. This might not be considered an advantage in most places, but I'm an asian male, and there are not many that apply to ILR. I could probably count the number of Asian male freshman in ILR on my two hands. My guess is that I was a student they wanted, but they just wanted to weed through all of the people who were just using Cornell for backups for the higher Ivies.

Thanks for sharing, tun. Please continue to post on your experiences as you take new ILR courses each semester.

Yep, that's the plan. :) Although, the only ILR class I have next semester is U.S. Labor History.

Hey Tun, then what else are you taking then???
all electives????

taking music to fulfill an ILR distribution, writing seminar, gym, korean, and labor history

hey but dont you need Macroeconomics.....labor organization and stuff like that?? hmm.... interesting.....courses.....hehee

Are decisions out for College of Arts and Sciences?

hey future cornellians!

i'm new here as a member, but i've been reading up on what everyone has been saying lately. I fell in love with Cornell when i visited last summer, but did the "extremely cold" weather aspect ever influence your decisions? i'd love your inputs (especially because i'm from florida and it's always hot down here.) thankss :)

i figured that i will not be studying out on the pavement, so , weather was really a luxury in my decision making process; it's nice to have warm weather but ill only notice it for the 10min im outside. And the only time i need to go out would be for class/food.

Hey guys that just posted!

Unfortunately, this is the thread for the Class of 2011, not the Class of 2015, so you’re four years late. No one still reads this board, and no one will comment or applaud you on your applications here.

Go ahead and check out the Class of 2015 Board, which should be active right now!

Thanks!
