<p>Hi all! I wanted to start a thread for all transfer students who were accepted to Cornell University! Congrats to everyone! People can post stats as well</p>
<p>I was accepted to CALS AEM earlier this morning!</p>
<p>College/Major: CALS AEM (Finance or Marketing concentration)
Entering class: Junior
Previous School: Howard Community College
College GPA: 4.0
HS GPA: 3.2
ECS: work 25-30 hrs/wk, phi theta kappa, schoenbroadt honors program ( at my school), scholarship recipient, MICA internship, founder of local spanish club, Girls on the run volunteer, Tutor
Essays: Strong, I definitely think my essay is what won them over. I talked about my change of major and got into depth about why Cornell is truly the right fit for me
Recs: Strong, I can't thank my professors enough!
Schools applied to: Columbia, NYU, Fordham, Boston University, UMD, Cornell
Accepted/ Rejected: So far only heard from UMD and Cornell- accepted to both!</p>
<p>I'm super excited and wanted to know what everyone is thinking! And who knows what about Cornell. For example, where should I apply for housing??</p>
<p>also... I was awarded a full tuition scholarship to University of Maryland, College Park.</p>
<p>I'm really nervous about giving this amazing scholarship up..
free education vs. CORNELL ( and a LOT of debt)</p>
