Cornell 2014 ED-ers!

ED to hotel school…will definitly not get in, expecting rejections or deferral for early round (and im not the average person on this site, i know everyone here says their average when they are spectacular, i am actually below average for cornell).

Anybody know the percent of people deferred from ED but then accepted in RD in hotel school, or any other school.

Hey all u aggies for CALS (specifically AEM), how many of u guys r submitting ur ACT in lieu of ur SAT? b/c my ACT was far better than my SAT so i just sent it

does anyone know how long it takes for decisions to be made?

lol i’m procrastinating too. I have yet to send anything in. I’m almost done with my supplement. I’ll most likely end up sending everything in on Friday.

As for decisions, they take about a month and a half. Our decisions will be e-mailed by the second or even third week of December.

Application is officially in now. I feel like my AEM supplement essay is stronger than my basic essay, and I’m not sure if that’s good or not.

just submitted my common app and supplement. I feel as though a ton of rock were just lifted from my chest. Once i get my css profile done, I will be officially finish with Cornell Application. Now the wait…

and send my score reports. Tomoro, SAT results

does anyone know how long after you sumit your app they give you the link to the applicant website and stuff?

i submitted my app the day before yesterday and it didn’t come yet. i think i read somewhere that it usually takes 10~15 days… or maybe i’m confused with some other university…

crap, what if you don’t submit your app 10-15 days before the deadline? Does that mean you have to have everything in or face rejection/deferment?

ApplicantIDs are typically sent about 1 to 2 weeks after we receive and process your Common Application. The ApplicantID and activation code are sent to the email address you list on your Common Application.

If you applied early decision, we will notify you in mid-November if we are missing materials from your application and will provide you with an opportunity to submit those materials.

i dont think you have to worry

^ that’s crazy. I wonder how big the ED pool already is. I hope it’s not that big, or else that’ll be bad news for me :(

are there lots of ppl applying for CAS?

^ same here. does Cornell have that announcement every year, about not receiving calls b/c they are dealing with apps. I have a bad feeling that the applicant pool is big. Fingers are still crossed tho’

^ I hope it does. If this is the first year, then I’m so screwed :(. Ugh I’m already on the low end of their average stats. I shall keep my fingers crossed until December 15 for all of us on CC.

Ilovefhf, I’m applying to CAS.

The ED pool for AEM has tripled this year I think…

im at the low end too :(

Same…so far 20 people i know for AEM has SAT of 2250 and up which isn’t good for me.

My SAT score didn’t even border 2000 when I took it cold in march. Sigh. Hopefully my second time on the 7th will be better.

jack, where do you know these 20 people from…
