So, I am anxiously waiting for the Cornell regular decision results. I previously researched that Cals, Ilr, and hotel have rolling admission starting late February. So, if anyone gets an acceptance or rejection, tell us the date you got the mail, what school you applied to, and what major. I heard the people with popular majors within these schools get their results on the common ivy league notification date (april 1st), for example AEM and Biological sciences.

Not true. I’m a bio sci major (in CALS, of course) and got my acceptance letter on March 5th of last year.

Blastoise were you basically a match when applying? Were you pretty much expecting to get into Cornell?

i have heard stories of that there is and that there is not rolling for certain majors.

I know all the Schools do not have rolling but i have heard that CALS and ILR does. Still we will see when and if people get rolling admissions.

Sorry for the late reply, but no. Cornell was definitely my reach school and I had no “hook” outside of coming from Mississippi.

So if we applied to CALS we should be hearing our decisions soon?

Probably not, no. You’ll most likely get your decision when the rest of Cornell does, only certain people (read: a select few) hear back sooner than that.

The Cornell website says students who applied to CALS, ILR, and Hotel school we begin to hear in early March…so does this mean everyone and what does “early March” mean?

If you look back to previous years on this website, notification came to many on Feb 21.

I got my Acceptance letter from CALS TODAY!

Where do you live?

congrats crnloser92!! whats your major??

crnloser92, did you apply ed and get deferred or just regular decision?

thank you :)

I live 40 minutes away from Cornell so that’s probs why I got the mail so quickly
The letter itself was written yesterday, 3/3
And yes I got deferred from Early Decision

Good luck to everyone!

my major is biological sciences

someone in the cornell RD admission decisions thread posted their acceptance to CALS and is also really close to the school. hopefully the nyc/long island area will hear tomorrow or saturday

thanks and congrats!

^omg you’re so lucky, congrats! i applied to CALS for the same major but live in the city…(3-4 hours away) so idk =/ i’m keeping my fingers crossed though!

i JUST opened my letter not five minutes ago!
I’m into Cornell ILR! Haha I screamed suddenly and my mother in the room next door screamed out of fear that something bad had happened to me…
Oh, and i’m from central jersey. I’m just terrified that this acceptance letter is a fluke!
It was in today’s mail and a really thin envelope with just ONE sheet.
GOOD LUCK to everyone else and best of luck!

may I ask where are you from? My son will be applying to Cornell this fall. may I ask you SAT scores? and also Congratulations!!!
