I read somewhere on CC that if you don’t have subject tests, they can sort of estimate by the classes you take and your grade in those classes. It’s not a big deal if you don’t have it, but of course, it’s recommended. Not sure how accurate this is, so I’d take it with a grain of salt.

I applied ED for AAP (fine arts) with CAS as my alternate choice.

Any Cornell Summer College 2010 alums? :)

yes I attended the pre-vet program. I hope it helps with my chances!

No, I haven’t called the admissions office. Are they open today? If not I’ll call them tomorrow and send a rush report if I have to.

Any Cornell Summer College 2010 alums?

YESSS I WENT TO SUMMER COLLEGE THIS SUMMER!! WHAT PROGRAM?!! I did Nature and Culture; I’m hoping that would act as a hook, and my professor recommendation. And ceresma, prevet is first term; we were there at the same time!

applied E.D. to ILR :)

dontfeedsparly How did you like the pre-vet class?

I didn’t take the prevet class I took nature and culture. But prevet was the same time as nature and culture, so I probably saw you there!

ahh ok there were only like 10 guys in the pre-vet class. good luck. I applied ED CALS animal science / Bio

I applied ED CALS natural resources/ applied econ :3

Hey Superexcited, don’t worry about rush scores, those are only for paper reports. The electronic reports are sent the day they are released to you.

No, yeah, I’m not worried about sending rush reports because I sent my scores like a month ago. I was just informing the other CC members.

ED to ILR

what is ILR ?

Industrial and Labor Relations

I’ve always wondered, is that major directly applicable to jobs, or do people use it as a major before graduate school?

ILR students snag government jobs in New York and DC. If you’re seeking direct advice about ED or have concerns just get at me. I applied ED fall 05 and started Cornell Fall 06, meaning I just recently graduated. I’m devoting much of my time now to answering Qs :)

I submitted a music supplement and do you guys know how much the admissions office weigh that into consideration? I’m hoping to have that as a hook.

quick question…what’s a ‘likely letter’? I’ve never heard of it before…?

A likely letter is a letter the colleges send out to some students that basically say that you are “unofficially accepted” and that you’re basically in. It’s sent sometime in November, I believe (before the universal notification date). I think it’s to calm people’s anxieties over the long wait.

Just curious: Have there been cases of people getting a likely letter but then to find out they were rejected?
