I believe I read that it’s possible but only if your senior grades drop or you commit a crime or something.

Do ED applicants receive likely letters too?

^Ya but only like 5% … towards the end of november i believe…? correct me if im wrong.

I could be wrong, but it would seem that “likely” letters would only make sense during regular decision, when admitted students might have other choices. They would be used to promote Cornell to those people, hoping they’d choose it. For ED, all the admits are locked in, so the likely letters would serve no function. I doubt they’d waste their time with that, don’t you???

I too agree with the above post. 1 month is not 3-4 months, I doubt any university utilizes likely letters for ED applicants.

Anyone confirmed the decision times for ED this year?

I would like to know also! When is Cornell releasing decisions!

I have reason to believe that is on Dec 9th. For the past two years, it’s been on a thursday. 2 years ago, it was the 11th, and last year it was the 10th. The closest thursday to that date is the 9th. So I’m hoping for the 9th!

Oh God. If I get in, I’d be too excited to go to school on friday. If I don’t, then I’d be too sad to go to school lol

^ Either way, not going to school on friday? Haha.

30 more days if it is the 9th…

starting the countdown ;)

Applying Early Decision
Your materials have been received. Your application has been forwarded to the admissions staff for review.

Please refer to the requirements for your college(s) to ensure you have sent all the required materials to us.

this is all i see when i log in with my applicantid.
i’ve never seen a checklist before…
does this mean that everything’s in?

^ I’m assuming everything is in because that’s what mine says as well. Most of the people in my school who are applying early (10+) say they see a checklist…

“Your materials have been received. Your application has been forwarded to the admissions staff for review.”
^ Mine doesn’t say that ![]()
They have apparently not received my transcript, secondary school report, and SAT scores :/

Check with your school to see if they sent our your transcript yet. I know someone who asked to get their transcript sent, a few weeks later, that person goes to his guidance counselor to follow up, and he finds out that his guidance counselor forgot to send it out.

As for SAT scores, if you sent the score report on collegeboard, it will only be a matter of time before Cornell receives and process it.

I personally sent my transcript and secondary school form through priority mail because my school is incompetent. And there was a problem with sending my scores and I had to resend them on Saturday so idk how long it will take for Cornell to receive them

Yes if your App page says that then you’re all fine.

If you having a checklist that means some documents aren’t sent/processed yet.

And guys, what time are decisions released???

I’m intl’ so I’m 12 hours ahead of the East Coast

Hey guys
I got a email from an alumni today for an interview but I cant make it for the days he gave me! What should i do? Will this lower my chances of getting in?
HELP!

Hi I would try to make the interview if at all possible. If not explain the reasons to the interviewer and see if he can adjust his schedule. I would also stress to the interviewer that you would really like to have the interview (even if you really wouldn’t lol). Good luck! I didnt get an interview request yet. Also I do not have a checklist it just says materials have been forwarded to admissions.

Application Fee: Not Received

What should I do??

If it says that you have submitted it on the Common App, then you should be fine and Cornell should receive the payment. If you sent it a long time ago then I suggest you try emailing Cornell or Common App.

I want to know if I got in NOW.
