actually, I sent my fee waiver request but cornell has no received. Should I fax my request or wait because it is stated that I should not send duplicate materials?

You can always phone them about it :P

When did you submit it? It takes weeks for mail to process, and many days for e-mail, even.

One more question. Without the checklist how do we know what the have received? I also sent scores and my Cornell summer transcript. I know they will be looking for the score report but what about the transcript. My HS and recs all go with the common app

If the checklist disappeared then they have received all required documents and you don’t need to send anything else to make your app processable, if you really want to know whether they received something specific that is supplementary, e-mail them, or phone.

Will a lot of applicants be sought out for an alumni interview? I have not heard anything.

I sent a rush score report last week and they still hasn’t received it.
I’m getting a little scared…

Alumni interviews are only given to applicants who have an alumni, who is willing to do interviews, living in the area. I don’t think you will be made to travel very far for the interview. Some people get it, some people don’t. It won’t negatively affect your application if you don’t have one. I know many people who got in without having an interview, and some who declined an interview, as well.

its weird to think that someone could be reading my application essay RIGHT NOW!!!
i hope they like it. :P

Ahhhh I hope I get into CAS
I have a 3.6 GPA
1 AP
and a full IB diploma

SAT I = 1330/1600

& SAT IIs math II= 710
Math I = 630
Is it possible?

@blee2011: Don’t even say that. omg.

I hope i get into Arts and Science, I applied early decision. Just a little over a month to go :P, but who’s counting?

I just got an e-mail from a Cornell alumnus to schedule a meeting with him in a few days D: I wasn’t expecting to have one. I thought I read somewhere that applicants to the College of Engineering did not have interviews but I guess this isn’t an interview…? I’m really excited and scared at the same time.

I’m applying to CAS, I wish I got an interview :(

I wouldn’t want an interview! What if I turned out differently than my application suggested?

LOL, I am an international student. Calling to admission office can be very very expensive :(. How stingy I am
!
I emailed them today so hope that they will answer soon

I’m international as well, but I use my dad’s corporate phone to call Cornell so it’s free for me xD

Or go to your school and use the counselor’s land line, I’m sure the school pays for it??

Approximately 28 days until decision da-- I mean, until I receive my rejection notice.

I’m scared.

28 days until I receive my acceptance letter.

^ self-fullfilling prophecy at its finest.

actually the call from the alum is not an interview at all. Its just an informal information session where we can ask more questions. I got an offer too
:)
