<p>When is it too late to receive an e-mail for an alum interview? I applied 11/1 (last day), and I haven’t received an offer for an interview (I’m a legacy). </p>

<p>Don’t worry if you didn’t get an interview. Not everybody gets one and it does not mean you are more/less likely to get accepted if you don’t get one.</p>

<p>jilltron do you actually live in ithaca? or are you being optimistic about the upcoming year? I’m just wondering because I think it would be interesting to live in a rural area that is home to one of the country’s best schools and then actually go there for college. :)</p>

<p>Not everyone gets an interview, it depends on whether or not there is any alum present in your area who is willing to conduct these meetings.</p>
<p>Also it is unofficially confirmed that decisions are being released on the 9th. It is only official when Cornell tells us the exact date, sometime in the, hopefully, near future.</p>
<p>I’ve actually been asked by an alum friend whether I’ve “contacted Cornell for an interview” and that’s a little strange, so I don’t know how that goes since we’re NOT supposed to request interviews if we’re not hotelling?</p>

<p>I believe that in the past they did interview candidates so perhaps when your friend applied that was the pratice. In any case I have not been contacted either and it seems late to I doubt I will.</p>
<p>My son was contacted for an interview. I was surprised as I thought there were no interviews for college of engineering. No legacy here.</p>
