Cornell 2015 ED Hopefuls

Did any of you ED hopefuls get a letter today with the Class of 2014 profile? See my post under the “Letters?” forum. Be interested in getting everyone’s take on it. Do you think it’s just an informational letter? Cuz it came across as kind of discouraging.

CALS DNR here!
I love Cornell :)

For those of you (namely helloeveryone1) who recently received letters, did you also have an alumni meeting?

did only legacies receive those letters or did non-legacies receive them also? and was it that discouraging?

Anyone know (officially or unofficially) what date we are supposed to find out whether we got in or not (for ED)? I’ve heard rumors about December 9th… Can anyone verify/deny that claim?

I’m 99.9% sure it’ll be December 9th. Also, like austrianpog, I want to know if only legacies received those letters.

17 days… I’ve actually put the count down on my space on the school’s whiteboard :P

I hope that coming December 10th that number would change to

-----------------> Cornell '15

@ ElephantMan-- 100% sure it’s the 9th at 5pm. I asked admissions. so it’s for sure. :)

16more days!!!

Dude. So soon. ****. I’ve actually been pretty chill about all this. But now that it’s so soon, I’m getting so anxious!

So did only legacies receive those letters?

I’d imagine so - since the letter’s content as quoted here is so legacy-specific

Yes I think only legacies received those letters. And to answer one of the previous posters, I am a legacy AND I was contacted by an alum for one of the informational meetings.

Who here sent first quarter grades to Cornell?

I did…

do we have to right now? is that required?

I don’t think it’s required, but I felt my grades would add to my app so I sent them anyway.

How did you send them? Personally? Or by your school guidance department?

I filled out a slip in my school’s guidance department

Hmmm, ok. Is it too late to do so do you think?
