cdhs34: when did your first quarter end?
Drelnis: I’m not 100% sure how the reports were sent, but I do know that there is one college counselor at my school who takes care of everything, not my guidance counselor. Sorry for my unhelpfulness…the reports may have been sent via Naviance eDocs, but I’m not sure.

I told my guidance counselor to send out 1st quarter grades today. Idk I did REALLY well last year so it ruins my trend of improvement, but I really want them to know that I’m not the bum I was freshman year lol.

Only the midyear (end of 20 weeks) report is required to be sent by your high school.

^ Only if requested or is it mandatory?

I’m pretty sure it’s mandatory; it’s used to kind of put a little pressure on you to still do well in school after apps are sent in and so they can check up on your grades

the midyear report’s only needed if you’re admitted or deferred right?

I don’t see why they would want it if they rejected you… so yeah

15 days, 18 hours, 30 minutes

I wish I had a time machine :(

Wait… so I NEED to send me first marking period grades?? Or only if I am contacted to do so??? ==

No, you send in your mid-year grades around January-February. For RD and deferred, it’s just more information for them to look at and make a decision with. If you are accepted ED, just don’t do too badly and they won’t revoke your decision.

I see :)

I’m intl’ actually and my mid year will come out next week or so, is it ok for my GC to file the Mid Year report on the CommonApp early? Or shoudl she wait til Jan just to comply with the expected timeline?

Drelnis, can you please point me to where on the Cornell website you found the language that you quoted in post #340? Thanks.

It’s on the Application Status FAQ after you log in: [Cornell University Undergraduate Admissions Office - SELF SERVICE](http://admissions.cornell.edu/selfservicedn/)

Got it. Thanks!

I know this is a really stupid thing to ask but still please do answer :-)

If i am applying for COE then it’s OK to have a red cross in the literature and Social Std section of the SAT II right?

adhikari, it’s fine as long as you’ve taken one math and one science SAT II
