Cornell 2015 ED Hopefuls

I thought CSS, salary slip, and passport photocopy were all that’s needed?

@smileygerl Did Cornell contact your counselor through phone or through e-mail? I wonder whether mine has been contacted, but since she never picks up the phone and only checks her e-mail I’m worried my grades won’t be sent :(

@smileygerl: Not really. It most likely means he’s in limbo when it comes to accept/reject/defer. As it stands without the scores, he’d most likely be deferred or rejected, but if his scores were awesome, it could tip him over into acceptance or maybe still a deferral.

Uh oh. I haven’t handed in my CSS Profile yet, and I haven’t been contacted about it :frowning: I hear they’re pretty lax about financial aid stuff, so I was going to do that this weekend

human ecology!

I am not sure if it was a phone call or email.

for those of you hopeful to be in human ecology, which majors did you all apply to?

i’m hoping to be a HBHS major

hi guys! i’m new to this college confidential thing but it’s REALLY calming me down that other people are freaking out just as much as i am about this…

anyways! i applied to human ecology as human development

@dcoopersmith I applied undecided but wrote my essay about my interest in nutritional sciences and PAM

@Drelnis, yea that sounds about right. I didn’t know they needed a photocopy of my passport, so they asked for that a few days ago.

^Wait, they need a photocopy of our passports? Or is that just for international students?

I’m pretty sure that is just for international students. I was also contacted by the financial aid office because I’m a permanent resident in the US and they needed proof of that, so I had to send my permanent resident card. They also contacted my dad (separated from my mother) because he filled out some things incorrectly on his non-custodial parent form. This doesn’t mean I’m more likely to get accepted or anything, they’re just going through everybody’s financial aid packages now instead of waiting for all of our decisions to be released.

7 DAYS 15 HOURS and 55 MINUTES!

My senioritis and procrastination are getting wayyy out of hand though. I should not be starting my homework at 1am :/

I could never do that ahahahahahaha

Oh god. Why can’t we find out sooner. :frowning: I don’t want to have to take exams without knowing how much pressure I have to do well on them.

xD I took my exams last week and they went great, now I just have to chill off for a week until next Friday :D

Well, thanks for rubbing it in Drelnis. :stuck_out_tongue:
That week will pass by fast for you. For me, not so much…

Calliefla,

I believe you are mistaken. There is no way 1st quarter grades would be the tipping to acceptance. They probably want to make sure senioritis hasn’t set in. His academic , ec, and volunteer portfolio has already been established. But, thanks for the opinion. I remain positive.

Smileygerl,

i would think requesting 1st Q grades could mean a couple of things: 1) The student isn’t a definite reject or accept but they are in the pool of maybes & the committee wants one more peice of info to compare with others in that pool 2) The student has shown a good “upward trend” in grades & they want to make sure it has continued into the senior year. Anyone else have any insight??
