Any effort by the admissions committe to request additional information about the applicant is positive in my eyes. It shows me that they are interested, whether it results in an acceptance is another story. Again, I remain positive. Time will tell, seven days to go.

On a side note: his gpa is 3.8 unweighted. SAT cr/m 1440. His grades have been high all through hs while taking the most rigorous courseload available. He is also a minority interested in engineering(math sat 1 770, math subj math 1 730, math II 780). I know he is my son, but he seems like a solid canididate. I realize all ivies are reaches. Just hoping for the best…

Guys, guess what, check your self service accounts:

I think it is very good and should increase our chances slightly. If you look at the ED admits over the last few years the number is fairly constant. The rate has dropped each of the last few years hopefully this year the ED admit rate will go up. Good luck to all just 6 days away!

so i read that people have been requested to send first quarter grades?
i was just wondering if this was usually a good thing or not if any other students that got accepted in previous years have experience with this, but as far as i know, i dont think i was requested to send grades.

Yeah, I’m curious about xshindp’s question as well. I’m guessing that if you are on the fence, then they will request quarter grades. If you have been accepted or rejected, then they won’t request the first quarter grades. Good God, I hope the days pass by a bit more quickly…
