there is that kind of letter, but i think it is only for early decision, which makes sense.
did any squash players hear anything from coach devoy???

PLEASE HELP my uncle attended and loved it so my family is in love with the school, if not cornell i’m thinking of university of michigan…any feedback?

i’m no expert for sure, just hoping to get in because of an athletic hook.
but from what I’ve seen here and read, it seems that Cornell definitely is all over the place in its early admits - kids with way higher and even lower stats get in or don’t get in. you never know. strong essays will be a +. p.s. why Michigan

my uncle went there after cornell for grad school and if i went there i could do dual-enrollment in their art school and liberal arts school, i’ve already gotten into one just waiting to hear back from the other

not sure if an “uncle” is such a strong hook. hook usually means legacy of very generous alumni (not the type that give a few bucks every year), strong athlete, URM or something else that is big. but if you are an URM , then you have a real good shot. if your uncle gave big $ as an alum, you are just about as good as in. not too hard to figure out that schools love big money - a lot of smart applicants, but very few of these are legacy of big givers… i would rather be that kind of legacy than the greatest squash player, but I’m not… anyway, with cornell, and without any hooks, the ed admit / reject are all over the place. some perfect gpa sat scores don’t get in and some marginal unhooked kids get in. I hope it will be a merry christmas…

Applied for architecture… I’m so nervous!! Does anyone know how arch admissions looks at our applications? How is it decided if I get in or not?

what are the stats for ED admits to the school of engineering? Thanks

any squash players hear from Devoy

For me, it wont be the end of the world if I don’t get in. I’m past that. I know that I’ll be happy anywhere, even at my safety. Still, I’d be ecstatic if I do get in.

4 days.
this is too unreal

4 days till you hear back ed?

Yes because it comes out on the 9th and today is the 5th.

Does anyone know what % of the approx 1/3 that get in Ed have some kind of hook like urm

any other architecture people here? If so can you tell me what you think about my portfolio…? I’ve been stressing about it not being up to par. (pm me)

I heard we hear back the 15th or 16th ( next thursday)… how would go about checking on the 9th? is it the letter or can you call/check online or something

How many EDers from ILR get guaranteed transfers? Someone told me that it is mostly legacies/NY state residents who get them.

**Also, does a flat out rejection mean no GT?.

how does GT work?

Basically you spend a year at another college, take certain classes and maintain a certain GPA, and the next year you can transfer to Cornell.

does gt need to be offered to you?
