Cornell 2015 ED Hopefuls

do you guys know if we will receive an actual letter in the mail as well (no matter what the decision is)? and when they mail that out? Thanks!

anybody else doing food science for cals? also if anyone has any info on the % accepted for food science, i’d appreciate it!

^^ I remember reading somewhere that they only send you a letter if you get in. It should be sent out a few days later.

So I think it’s safe to assume we’re getting our log-in info tomorrow?

tomorrow, Wednesday or Thursday morning, it makes no difference. nothing we can do at this point, just chill out, relax, don’t assume anything, it is what it is, …

hey so im applying to the COE ED as a chemical engineer and i was wondering how competitive that major was.
also, i never really had any real research interns or experience aside from school, where we have senior tech lab research classes, which im in the chemical analysis lab.
would not having any real research experience hurt my chances cause cornell looks a lot at fit?

thanks a lot guys.

@ poolboy: no need for the sass bud. I don’t recall ever saying I was freaking out or anything, but “it is what it is” as long as you say so. Also, don’t tell me not to assume anything
…

never said you were freaking out or anything like that. where did you get that from??? you were the one that said assume. All I was saying is that there is nothing we can do and that’s all, nothing else
anyway, come on man, it’s no big deal, chill… that’s what all of us here are trying to do
I really wish you very good luck and hope you get whatever you want. Ciao.

I found out a few weeks ago (after the Nov 1 deadline, of course) that it was possible to apply early decision to one college and early action to one or more colleges. I wish I had known about that sooner… I would have applied ED to Cornell and EA to Stanford. Is anyone else here doing this?

k…bye

You can’t EA Stanford and ED Cornell because Stanford is SCEA (single choice early action).

1960 sats
90.111 gpa and an extreme fit into the natural resources major…

do i have a chance?

Jaroba: stop posting that on every thread…

thanks bri1a4n!

Tensions are high…hahaha

Yeah, seriously.

Did anyone receive the login information for decisions yet?

That hasn’t been released yet

This is a dumb question-
do financial aid officers work out a package for every applicant who applied for FA? or just the ones who have been admitted? (I have no idea about how financial aid process works)
I was contacted by a FA counselor from Cornell today, and she wrote “Once we receive the requested information, we can continue to review your financial aid application in the event that you are admitted to Cornell.”
I mean the decision comes out on Thursday, why did she just contact me just today?
Oh God, I’m just freaking out.
three more days…

I didn’t select the Financial aid option when i applied to cornell a few months ago…if i’m accepted do you think i could call the admissions office and try to send my financial aid info in to do it?
