I have to say, I’ve been following this thread for some time now, and the inputs from so many different people have been a major help in preparing me for tomorrow. I find the collective obsessiveness and worry to be a good coping strategy hahaa…everyone here is in competition to get into Cornell, and the fact that there is a lot of support being thrown around on this forum in spite of that is pretty cool. It kinda flips it around, with competitors becoming compatriots, and we are all in this together…“this” being a long 19 or so hours of probably the most intense mental strain we’ve ever felt in our entire lives. Says a lot about what kind of people I could potentially be attending with.

same here, but with calc and stat :(

I like your post bayernthebest. I don’t consider any of you to be competing with me but only as possible future friends :)

and practicing for auditions :[ it sucks. Like I wont be able to see my decision until night time…and I dont know if I should because I have auditions again on Saturday so…a bad outcome could become harmful to many other important things…so yeah. I dont know…sigh…

In regard to the recruited athlete question discussed earlier (and not to beat a dead horse but just to clear up misinformation), there were 223 recruited athletes in the Class of '14. This is in line with previous years, though it flunctuates a little (the number of athletes each Ivy League school can recruit is agreed to by all the Ivy League schools). Guess what? Some apply early. And some apply RD.

In regard to legacies, some apply early and many apply RD. And an overwhelming majority do not apply ED. I know, because I’ve been a CAAAN leader for many years.

That being said, just wanted to wish everyone good luck tomorrow. Many of you will be happy and many of you will be disappointed. But whatever happens, you will end up at the place that is best for you.

I’m just going to assume I didn’t get accepted and when I check tomorrow to find out that I didn’t then I’ll be fine…ha. If I do get in, everyone in my jazz band class will be munching on cornell cupcakes on friday morning. =) I should probably get Cornell off my mind!

yellowsnowman- Exactly, that’s what going to a college like Cornell is all about(Besides, of course, the whole higher learning thing). Getting out of our hometowns(or countries) and meeting new people just as smart or smarter than us had to be, at least in some way, on everyone’s minds when we applied.

I have a Calc test and about three hours of psych work, but I can’t stop checking this website. How long does everyone think it will take to access our decisions? I’ll log-in at 5:00 sharp, but with the (most probably) jammed server, I probably won’t know until 6:00 pm.
By the way, who else is applying CALS with a bio major (in hopes of becoming a physician)? Good luck to us all; hopefully we will be potential classmates and friends in the Cornell class of 2015:)

I will login between 2:03-2:05 PST. I hope the website won’t be too crowded…

The wait is killing me.

I probably won’t be checking until around 5:30 after seeing some of your reactions and somewhat knowing what to expect from my decision

Zaara- I applied to CALS with a bio major BUT with the hopes of becoming a veterinarian and I made that pretty clear in my application. why didnt you apply to arts and science college?

oh and is anyone here going to wait a while before looking online? because I probably am… :/

like many of you have said, unlike other forums, this one is actually encouraging. it would be awesome to attend a college where nobody is being cutthroat

^^yes haha

it would be awesome if we all got in!
then we can meet in real life at cornell and be like oh…you were that guy on college confidential…! lol

I cant wait to party at Cornell lol

haha who knows it has probably happened before lol

Lol…^^^^

thats actually one thing im afraid about is that, I wont know anyone at Cornell because I dont even know anyone who is applying there!
So I’m going to be friendless :[

@yellowsnowman LOLLLL i WISH i had an afro

I’m actually debating right now (while studying for an ap gov test…not really actually)
video taping myself opening up my college decision
ill probably use my iphone camera even though it camera is pretty shatty
i mean like if i do get accepted (knock on wood) then the footage will go down in history. all my family and friends would watch it and we could have laughs and reminisce our stress in the years to come
BUT
if i get rejected/deffered YOU AINT GON SEE IT
