I’m interested in double majoring in philosophy and intentional studies (Cornell’s minor in international relations is still fantastic) with a minor in German. I just wanted to post my stats too, for future applicants because I’ve sure used CC obsessively in the past to look for information.

Current GPA: 3.8 (Overall) 3.83 (Major GPA, not that it really makes a difference)
Credits: 32 (Took all of the pre-requisites and I have a couple of them fulfilled for next year as well.)
High School GPA: 87… It came from the second best public high school in New York if that counts for anything 
(Bronx Science)
SAT: 2150 (CR: 680 M: 750 WR: 720)
ECs:
- 2 paid restaurant jobs (a lot of hours, like a lot)
- Volunteer for Let’s Get Ready teaching math and critical reading to underprivileged high school students (~50 hours, but ongoing and planning to continue at Cornell if I get in)
- Volunteer for the Chinese-American Planning Council as a teachers assistant (~200 hours)
- Volunteered at the Chinese Hospital, Fujian Provincial Cancer Hospital, assisting the nurses in taking care of patients and doing other errands (~100 hours)
- Shadowed a general physician (~100 hours)
- Shadowed a surgeon (in China) (~80 hours)
- Vice president of the Science and Comic Drawing Society, running the production of a comic series based on science
- Member of the Premedical Society at Boston University
- Member of a Dance Club
- Something else, but I can’t really recall it at the moment.
