LOR - good but not great, definitely not the strong point of my application.
Essays - Good I think. Very specific reasons for both leaving my current school and for wanting to go to Cornell.

I'm worried because I really want to get out of my current school and would love to go to Cornell (first choice by far), but everyone says transferring into A&S is pretty vicious. Chances?

Thanks all, good luck to everyone else applying!

I am applying to A&S as well and the acceptance rates for transfers is around 13% :(. If you’re already at a top 5 uni then you should not apply so people like me have a better chance :D.

what about him haha?

why not post in the Cornell thread, maybe some transfers are lurking out in there and will give you a response.

Dude you’re set. You’re from a top 5 school? You’re reasons for leaving must be very specific - I would like to know actually.

Jeremy Lin is the reason you want to go to New York - 100% Valid Reason.

Haha thanks, I hope so. They are very specific.
I’m actually from NYC, gotta love linsanity.

Also, my GPA is looking like it’s going to be around 3.7 (A, A-, A-, B+), does that change things?

3.8 for the year (3.9 first quarter, 3.7 second quarter (midterm report))

You’re coming from a top five school. You’re GPA at the end of this semester will be what, 3.9? 3.8 at worst I’m guessing. You’re set man lol. CAS is kind of hard but I think you’ve got a very good shot.

Linspirational. Linsane. Linja Assassin. For the Lin.
