Cornell Acc

Hi I just activated my Cornell account and stuff...

Am I supposed to not see anything listed under To-Do-List?

Am I not supposed to have a NetID? Because that's what I have to enter to view my Financial Aid Application

Thanks!

Not sure about 1), but for 2), you only get NetID if you get accepted. I think you’re supposed to use your applicationID for the meantime.

Okay, thanks. How do I check my Fin Aid Status though?

Just check it later (as in a month later…). It should work then.

Ok! Thanks!

o_O @misterpresident, sorry for the digression but have you already gotten your NetID?

Nah I haven’t. I don’t get my cornell.edu e-mail until like…April lol

Just telling everyone, your net ID is the same thing as the Cornell ID you got after you applied.

So… are we sure that we can’t view the Financial Aid To-Do list for now?

No, we can. I just did. Like legit, just looked at it 5 mins ago.

It says I’m missing 4 items. But, they didn’t have time to process all of the **** that it must have gotten in the last couple of days.

Just to clear up teamfrangela92’s point - the FA netID is your received application ID. After you are accepted, you get a new netID. NetID and ApplicantID are NOT the same.

But I think your NetID is the same as the last part of the ApplicantID without the app10 part? My summer college NetID is part of my ApplicantID, so I just assumed? Can anyone verify this?
Also, I tried to get onto the Financial Aid To-Do List thing and this weird page came up that said “No current to do information item found” - there was also a red “processing” sign flashing in the right hand corner…anyone know what this means?

Mine worked with the app10 part.
I typed in app10-??*** [? = letter; * = number]
Then my password.

And it worked. Telling me im missing stuff. -_-

@cline: I think that means all of your stuff has been recieved and the processing means that as a whole, COrnell is still processing financial aid info.

When I applied ED, I got the same response as soadquake981 did, and it worked when I checked it later.

@mister: Thanks for clearing that up =]

Okay, I am finally able to check it. Just to clarify - does “Parent Prior Year Federal Tax” mean 2008 tax returns? I don’t think it means 2009 tax returns, because those aren’t due until later, and the due date listed in my FA to-do list is 1/2.

I mailed it in a few weeks ago… I hope they didn’t lose it.

Yepp. 2008 Tax Returns @soad.

And they are still processing everything, so give em a couple of days.

Applicant ID is what your NetID will be once accepted plus “app(insert two digit year of application)-”
