Cornell Admissions Question Re-do~~~

I'm applying early decision to Cornell for their CALS college. If I do not get accepted the first time and I want to apply again regular deadline, Do I have to re-do recommendations letters, essays, and etc??? or just re-submit them? or do they keep them for the next round?
I'm saying this because I'll prolly not get accepted because I havent taken my SAT2 tests and they say its not required but recommended. But I will take both Biology M and Math2 in December.

Thanks

Are you allowed to apply both ED and RD? I doubt it

CALS doesn’t reject ED applicants, just defer (move your application to the RD round) or accept. If you do get deferred to RD, you don’t have to do anything except MAKE SURE YOU SEND IN THOSE SATIIs ASAP.

So if I get deferred, do they automatically know that I want to try out for RD?
If so, all I have to do is send the SAT2 scores? not re-submit the entire app?

Thank you malan89.

If you applied for ED and got deferred, I think it’s pretty safe to assume that you’d like to get the second chance in RD…

Yes, if you are deferred, you are automatically put into the RD round. It is possible that they may ask you if you still want to be considered, but they will make that clear.

You can send in additional information that will enhance your application (not repeat stuff already in it) if you like.

If you are rejected, however, you are not considered for RD, and you cannot reapply RD for the same academic year.

malan are you sure that CALS doesnt reject anyone, because if you are, i am going to be really happy :)

I’m applying ILR and I know they only defer or accept in ED. I’m pretty sure CALS and HumEc do the same.

Really? Where did you hear this? I know of at least one CALS applicant who was rejected ED, although it was four years ago.
