Cornell AEM vs. NYU Stern- most selective?

Which one is more selectvie, NYU Stern or Cornell AEM? I am looking to major in finance, if that makes a difference.

Anyone know?

anyone.......?

I've heard NYU stern is tops, along with Wharton @ Upenn.

Stern is more selective

my concern is not so much as to which school is more selective but if you be able to afford to attend if admitted. While NYU Stern is selective , if you are a non-NYS resident, Cornell AEM is going to be equally as hard to as far as admissions is concerned.

what about if you were a NYS resident..

was stern that selective??????

which one is more selective??
ucla(chem) ucb(undecided)both instate vs nyu stern...

cornell Does not care if you are in state. No matter what school. They used to, but not anymore

Valawe -- since when do they not care?

Cornell 3 land grant schools do give priority to students from NYS. While the other Colleges at Cornell and most of the Ivies, state that they don't care where you are from you will notice that year over year the majority of the students are from the following states NY, CA, NJ, MA (with TX the biggest leader in the south).

what if u are an international student applying from south east asia? Who would be more selective? NYU or Cornell?

^
definitely NYU

since when has NYu been more selective than Cornell???

hmm.. many contradictions with each other.

They are about equally hard to get into

But Stern is the better school

In the fall of 2007, the school had 103 incoming freshman, as well as 48 external transfers and 54 intra-Cornell transfers, amounting to an acceptance rate of 14.6%.

Regarded as one of the hottest programs in the country, Stern received over 5000 applications for just 425 spots. This culminated in a record low acceptance rate of 24.6%.

speaks for itself

Cornell’s more selective and a much better bargain if you’re a NYS resident since you pay reduced tuition. Top banks are going to recruit at both schools of course.

Stern is a much better school than AEM according to every ranking. Cornell’s advantage is that it is an ivey so obv it must be more competitive to get in to.
