Cornell: Agriculture & Life Science less competitive?

Cornell Agriculture & Life Science

Is the above school less competitive relative to other schools within Cornell?

YEAH--MUCh

CAS--for transfers is under 15 percent
CALS is around 50, its a HUGE diff

i hope so since that's the one i'm applying to for applied econ. That's awesome they take 50%. BUT, I was under the impression that their contract with the nearby New York colleges means they take up many of the spots. Is that wrong?

ugh, some people never ever learn.

transfer acceptance rates for all of the schools are around the same percentage as freshmen acceptance rates.

the spots they offer to freshmen as 'guaranteed transfers' sucks up most of the transfer spots at the CALS school inflating the acceptance rate (since they count them as both applicants and acceptances for some reason).

bump.

So. the above school is as competitive as other cornell schools

isn't 50% sounds quite too large even when considering guaranteed ad

students with guaranteed transfers constitute the majority of transfer students though.

Bball why are you such a contract college hater? You make it sound like Cornell CALS is not really Cornell. And double true to what gomestar said, the rate is 50% because of the GTs.

Is the GT for CALS only?

Your diploma and transcript say Cornell no matter what college you graduate from. Period.

firebird - engineering and AAP are the only schools that i have not heard about offering a GT.
