I applied for Cornell regular decision. I was wondering.. do cornell alumni contact everyone?? my friend applied for cals and a cornell alumni called him .. no one has contacted me yet, does anyone know if they only call some people?

I think they only contact some people depending on the availability of the interviewer. Don't worry, I don't think interviews are significant part of the admission process... I got in without an interview..

I was worried about that myself. Thanks for clarifying niceshrp. I'd hope that someone else responds..

I would not worry much about it. I live in NYC which I am sure has a lot of alumni, and a few people in my school did not get interviews. My friend did not get and interview and got into Cornell ED.

I feel better. I'm a NYer myself and I felt uneasy knowing how many Alumni are probably right around me.

Thanks for all the replies! But AH! I got a call today.. I'm so nervous, they want to set up an interview. I thought it would just be talking on the phone and I'm really bad with stuff like this.. has anyone had an interview yet what's it like/ what kind of stuff do they ask??

Dont worry about it, it is more informational than a formal interview. Just be sure to have a good reason why you want to attend Cornell, why you want to apply to your major, and have a lot of questions about the school in in order to pass time.

I just got contacted today. I admit, I'm a very outgoing person--who is quite good with people. So, I'm not particularly worried. My interviewer seems pretty chill. =]

^ Since you are from NYC can you tell me who your interviewer is, maybe we have the same one lol.
