<p>Good shots at all. Depends what state you live in, like ex: If NC, you're almost surely in at Duke (since they need to fill a quota) and if NY, you'll boost chances at Cornell and Columbia.</p>
<p>I don't think that being in NY improves chances at columbia, since it's private and so many NY kids apply there anyway. Cornell might need to fulfill a quota for some of its schools, though, for NY students. Not sure about duke.</p>
<p>enderkin... I guarantee you that Duke has a quota. (only for NC and SC students). In fact, inside the school's charter, it clearly states that around 15 % of the incoming class must come from the Carolina's.</p>
<p>it might be a bit of a stretch... i dont want to stereotype, but i go to a school with alot of asians and they have the same grades/satscores/ECs as you... typical asians and typical indians are definately discriminated against in the admissions process nowadays becuase there are alot of them</p>
