<p>I'm not accepted because I didn't apply, but I do know someone who got in ED. As to financial aid, Cornell makes it clear that it rarely offers international students aid. <em>shrugs</em></p>
<p>Cornell can offer you admission without offering you aid (that is, if you are an international), which means it is an "acceptance amounting to a rejection" =p.</p>

<p>wait so let me get this straight, cornell actually prefers internationals that can pay the full-tuition? aren't they need-blind?</p>
<p>cornell is only need blind to american, canadian and mexican citizens. It is not need blind to international students residing outside of those areas, therefore, yes the ability to pay full tuition is considered when making a decision.</p>
<p>It is widely known that Cornell lowers standards for internationals not asking for aid.</p>

Cornell is very upfront about it though...they specifically tell you they have LIMITED financial aid...I just wanted to see who were the lucky ones....</p>

<p>Yeah Cornell is not need blind towards international students. Cornell financial aid office has recently sent an email to international students saying that they have not completed their FA application. Later it sent another email saying that the previous email was erroneously sent.This is because international student FA applications are not treated separately from their application for admission. Did any of you receive these emails?</p>

<p>On collegeboard site is said that 217 international undergraduates were receiving aid. Since there are 4 years of study, you divide 217 by four it amounts to about 50 international students receiving aid each year. In those fifty there are a great deal of Canadians and Mexicans however. I'm just saying this to cheer you up. My chances of getting into Cornell are very small nonetheless. I have low sat 1 scores and high sat 2 scores.</p>

<p>Fortunately they find out their error soon enough because I was really freaking out. Good luck to you all! I guess many of us want to be future Cornellians but the aid to international student is but limited.</p>
