Cornell App Questions

Ok, I’m currently doing my common app. I have a couple questions:

I did the supplement part on the online common app. Do I still need to do Part I and mail that in with the $ 65? Or do I just submit that and pay the money online, and send the Financial Aid form and Cornell Essays form, and not mail the Part I?

What exactly do I need to send in? Is there anything missing from this list: Common app online, Supplement online, $65, Financial Aid form, Cornell Essays form, 2 Teacher Evals, Midyear report and a School report?

Thanks in advance.

Bump. Bump. Bump.

Anyone please?

Send in part 1 with the 65 bucks

Thanks, but if I submit the supplement in the Common app oniline, do I still need to mail the Part I, or is the online supplement equivalent to the written Part I? I'm so confused. It's because when they show the extra supplement materials required, it shows me that I need to mail in Part I, Cornell Essays, and Financial Aid along with the teacher recs and stuff. But, if I submit the supplement online, I don't need to mail it also, do I?

You must always turn in Part I. Colleges use that information to open a folder for you to put your transcript, scores, recs, etc.

You cannot turn in an application without turning in Part I. And yes, you must pay the fee.

Just out of curiosity, how can you turn in the supplement along with the online common app? Is there some special feature that lets you do this?

No!! The supplement online IS Part 1. What I did (and what it seems like you want to do), is send the Cornell supplement (Part 1) in online, pay with credit card, and send the common app in online. You'll then have to mail your essays and the teacher/school forms.

Thanks, justforgetme.

That makes a whole lot of sense. Does it matter if I do the Part I online, send the other supplements, and then submit Common App online? In other words, does it have to be in any order as long as the Part I is the first one submitted?

The order doesn't matter. Once you send part 1, they open up a folder (and they won't read your app until everything is in). If you do Part 1 online, I'd suggest doing the Common App online too, but I'm not sure if that's required.
