Cornell Application Status

Yeah! Go for it!

I got in at ILR. Non-GT. Somehow. Stats are dismal.

Well, it was quite wierd.
Few days ago, the Engineering admissions dude told me to just wait.
So I called the underg admissions office.
I asked her if I could check my status
and she said sure...
After telling my name and all that she told me that it has been forward to the admissions comittee last thursday.
hmmm.
When I checked my status two weeks ago, it said my material has been forwarded to the engineering department.
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm-_-

Hey, I have a doubt, currently my status is "Your materials have been received. Your application has been forwarded to...", is that it? or there is some "under review" status an d I'm still far away from my admission?

Odd...

Godsend, I feel the same way. My stats were bad, and I'm at an out-of-state community college. lol, not a GT either.

I mean decission (I really think I am not gonna be admitted)

I have the same thing. I think there's only three stages: the checklist, the under review message, and the decision.

When your decision is granted there's a read link at the top of check decision. When you click it, it goes to your decision. If you were accepted, there's a giant banner at the top with pictures of Cornell that says CONGRATULATIONS!! and then a little letter under it.

cool we still need to wait for a litter bit hahhahahaahh

Hahaa, I'm gonna dream with that banner tonight

Hey, a quick question, between UIUC and UVA for engineering what would you choose? I've seen that UIUC is a lot better for engineering but I've also seen that people like UVA a lot.
The thing is that I know nothing about the environment, people, etc of these univ and if I am rejected from Cornell I have to choose...any suggestions?

UIUC for sure It is famous in china

Meh..you guys make me nervous for you. I think I will be like...actually sad for each person who doesn't get in on this board...

Soo...you guys are gonna all have to get in!

Thanks man, I was also thinking of choosing UIUC

Make a new thread, let's not clutter this one. (But I'd say UIUC without a doubt, it's an engineering powerhouse)

which comes first, online decision or letter?

Yeah, no problem! I just wanted a quick advise, so now let's get back to suffer about Cornell!

For what I've seen, phone decesion!

My status page still says 'your application has been forwarded to review' instead of 'under review'....so nervous....

Is there a difference? I think previous posters were using the two interchangeably
