Cornell BioE Questions

I'm thinking about applying to the School of Engineering this year and really want to do Biological Engineering with a concentration in Biomedical Engineering. Does anyone know what kinds of classes I would need to take freshman and sophomore years? Also, what kind of workload would the classes entail (obviously it's engineering so I know it won't be easy :P ), but would it be more labs, papers, tests, etc?
Any help is greatly appreciated!

You can find all of the information here: [Biological Engineering Degree](http://www.bee.cornell.edu/cals/bee/degree-programs/undergraduate/ugrad-bioeng.cfm)

You can find the sample curriculum here: http://www.bee.cornell.edu/cals/bee/degree-programs/undergraduate/upload/BE_Sample_Curriculum_8_5_10.pdf

You will have papers for FWS, labs for lab classes, and hw and prelims for all other classes.

Your 1st year classes will mostly be typical engineering classes, like physics, chemistry, calculus, biology, computer science (unless you have a LOT of AP credits)

You’ll probably do one somewhat specific class in bioeng your first year, but overall, your first year is mostly devoted to general engineering classes. You will start to take more classes related to BME / Bioeng your sophomore year, but you still have a lot of general engineering courses to finish off (like statistics, thermodynamics, solid mechanics, etc) It heavily depends on your AP credits though. Unless you’re doing premed, AP credits help A LOT if you’re in the engineering school
