Lets say I want to major in business administration (or something similar) for my undergraduate studies, what school would I apply to? Thanks.

Applied Economics and Management in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences is probably what you want. You could also apply to the School of Hotel Administration, though that major is more specialized.

You'd want AEM in CALS. Other business alternatives are the hotel school or Econ major in CAS, but AEM is probably your best bet.

How hard is it to get into the AEM program? Is it as hard as Wharton/Harvard? What kind of stats are needed?

Thinking of applying to the AEM program ED? Is that easier than RD? How does ED at Cornell compare to ED at Wharton?

It is pretty hard. About 20% acceptance rate. I beleive wharton is about 15%. According to the CALS info session, there is a 20% ED rate and 20% RD rate.

So its not any easier ED than RD for the AEM program?

When I visited cornell, I attended the CALS info session. They told me that 1 out of 5 make it RD and 1 out of 5 make it ED. Same rate.

ok thanks. do you know what the percentges are at Georgetown undergrad businesss program? What about wharton? Umich Ross? And I know Northwestern dosnt have a business school but just general admission to the college?

Those are the schools im thinking of applying to.

Georgetown is about 22%
Wharton is about 15%
I dont know about the other 2

for Early Decision?

G-town is for EA

How about ED Cornell ecconomics major? Not business?

Then how hard is it to transfer into the AEM program once already admitted?

Also would it help that I am from AZ?

Cornell Econ major is not major specific admissions. It's in CAS. CAS has a 17 or 18% RD admissions rate. I'm not sure of ED, but it's probably a lot closer to that 42% ED rate. You can always do internal transfer if you don't like AEM or Econ and want to switch to the other. AZ may very well help you.

So its a lot harder to get into the AEM program than CAS? (i.e the aprox 42% vs. 20%)

How hard is it to transfer into AEM from CAS?

For AEM:

Freshman Applications, Fall 2005
Total Applications: 673
Total Admitted: 141 (20%)

Thanks guys. Does anyone have any numbers for ED for the college?

for which college? CALS #s are major specific so an overall number is not too useful.

Ecconomics...ED and RD? How do they compare, or if you have a link that would be great.

I BELIEVE, I am not 100% sure, but I believe that Econ has a significantly higher ED rate than RD.

Ok but in general for ED would it be easier to get into CAS or AEM? And then how about for RD? Which is easier? Any other numbers or links would be appreciated
