Chances for CALS?

bump......

i always wondered, and no offense, but what do you hope to gain by asking some fellow kids, some of which haven't even started Cornell yet, the chances you have of getting in? They aren't part of the admissions committee. Trust me, this is not going to help you in the college process and do not listen to anyone who tries to advise you like they know what they are talking about, because none of them do.

Just apply it doesn't hurt to apply. But it does waste your time to ask the people here for tips because all they ever do is put you down.

And your stats look superb, don't sweat it.

I am not just asking kids who are applying to Cornell, rather I was seeking the opinion of those who may have already been accepted to Cornell CALS and may like to share some insight.

no I'm not talking about the kids who are applying to Cornell, I am referring to the ones who do go, like me, and the ones who just got in. None of us know what exactly got us in, so we cannot look at your stats and determine if they would accept you or not. All we can do is give you the same ol' advice like "take more APs" "do internships" or "more ECs". But asking chances, we don't know that, it is not in our power if you get in or not

I see I'm not the only one who hates "What are my chances?" threads.

Is it me or do these threads all look the same?

Ethnicity: Asian/White
GPA: 3.7-4.0
SAT: 2000-2300
Laundry List EC's:
Model UN
Internship
Hospital Volunteering
Piano
Tennis
National Merit Finalist

The admissions stats are all available online. If you have a decent GPA (top 10% of your class), a SAT score in the 2000's, and a long list of random EC's, you're going to have some sort of shot. No one can say definitively that you have a 36.54% chance of getting in.

i know right! lol

I am so deeply sorry for my ignorance, how can I make it up?

ponnan: it's not ignorance
with those scores, i`d say you're probably not ignorant =]
the proper adjective would be annoying
