I would suggest taking the ACT - it’s geared towards what you learn in school so I think your score will be higher
oops never mind I just read the previous posts

jeskohanadu…you make a good point. Im not here to argue or anything and I take your advice seriously and I thank you for it I just want to get into Cornell! No i have not gotten every single question right. Also I just mentioned ACT is no longer an option as the next time NY offers it is in April.

If you haven’t gotten every question right, how do you have a 100%? Extra credit?

Yea…well not like extra credit assignments. Everything is weighted differently…we have a quiz like every other day so they are basically worth a Homework. So tests are worth like 75% of our grade. I always ace the tests bc i learn from mistakes on the quizes (which i usually only miss 1 or 2 out of 20 on. Then it rounds up to a 100%.

psshhtt private message! More like public headlines! Kid with 610 on math accepted to Ivy League School Anyways thanks jeskohanadu! I will deffinetly let you know!

You’re lucky that you’re 1st gen. Without that you’d have been rejected

And your SATs suck. Shouldnt Pre-med kids be good at math?

Yea um im not really sure how much math a doctor does on a daily basis…that was a very ignorant comment.

^I agree. That was rude of bzva74.

Okay, so here’s my honest opinion: SAT I isn’t good, bad not as bad as it could be. If you could, you should try to bring it up to above 2000 at least. Being first generation is an awesome hook. Nice program that you’re involved in-shows your unique interest. Awesome biology mark! It’s good that your recs & essays are good. Since you got deferred, it means that Cornell is still interested in you. I wish you luck!

Medical school involves a lot of research, and research requires math. Just sayin’

And if you cant handle honest responses, dont post and ask for peoples’ opinions.
