SAT is definitely low for Cornell…especially engineering. Retake in October and try to get 2200+. And no, your GPA is ~3.8-9 if you convert it. I’m not sure if the scales can accurately convert like that though. It doesn’t matter though because that GPA will not set you back.

good luck :)

Find a GPA calculator online. Your GPA may be a 4.0 or it may not be. For example, if you had two classes, one 98 and one 94 then both would count for 4.0 and your average would also be 96. However, if you had a 100 in one class and a 92 in another it would be about a 3.85 GPA because an A- (92) counts as a 3.7… If that makes sense. In other words, if you ever got a grade less than 93 you dont have a 4.0. Find a calculator online.

You have great grades and okayish ECs. Excellent SAT 2… Pretty good SAT 1.

I think it’s a low reach for you. Maybe try taking the ACT? You could take linear algebra at a community college or local state school first semester. Overall, good job and good luck :)

Chance back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1532897-linguistics-chances-updated.html

SAT is low, ECs are a tad bit weak.
Would be a reach, but with ED, you might make it through (provided you raise that SAT up by a 100 points)

I would say it’s a pretty large reach, unfortunately the lack of “engineering” ec’s and the low SAT scores will be a real damper, enough to get you waitlisted.
