<p>If I was the athletic director at Cornell this would plague me too. It’s kind of like letting the Ivys less able to offer comparable aid to HYP just drift to the bottom of the league.</p>
<p>Not sure what the fix is though. Obviously it’s a good thing for HYP to financially support students, and worries about Cornell’s athletic competitiveness shouldn’t derail that effort, but… it’s a tough problem and an interesting consequence of unequal financial aid policies.</p>
