anyone know when Hotel decisions come out?

I was recruited for track

Anyone know how acceptance notices are provided - email, US Mail???

Acceptances start coming out on March 28th for all Cornell schools through portals and mails.

Lilmelonred I’m pretty sure the Hotel School and ILR are rolling and will start releasing decisions soon…?

Really? Oh then I’m not sure anymore… From what I heard and told, seems like all acceptances come out at the same? Call in and check with them?

I was recruited for track also!

What events do you run cle0patra and country20?

Nice! I do mid distance, so mainly the 800m.

Does anyone know if Cornell looks at your Writing score on the SAT?

I do short sprints, so like the 100m.

@lilmelonred writing is typically the least important SAT section, and the rumor mill (plus Cornell’s posted stats which I think exclude writing) seem to imply that they don’t look at it, or that if they do it’s less influential :)

Also, you know how on common data set, it says that 1% gets a 400 on CR section. Do you know who or what kind of people they accept that have 400s in the CR? like athletes? URMs? major legacies?

The only people they let in with 400s on CR are the highly coveted first gen legacies.

How can you be a first generation legacy? lol Isn’t it suppose to be just legacy or first generations?

^ it’s a joke… Lol to get in with a 400 CR you must have a dad that personally polished the deans office doorknobs, a mom that is a secret maiden to the admissions dean, and a half-brother that lost both legs in Iraq but still manages to cure cancer, and attend Cornell at the same time… Oh, and being an athlete helps too ;)

@lilmelonred how do you know?

Hahahahaha!! :D

I doubt 1% gets in with a 400 CR, that would imply that ~35 applicants with a 400 CR get in??
As far as I know, even athletes/first gens URMs/other hooked applicants applying to Cornell or other Ivies need to have a decent SAT CR & Math!! 400 is way way below par!!

^ again, refer to my post

lol. There must be other explanations.
