^Well I’m with you guys!! I’m just happy that I applied!! :)

And CAN ANYONE tell me whether it is time to write a mail to Cornell admissions and ask for a pin/userid?? I’ve been waiting for over a week now!! :(

Or is it that they are checking applications backwards ( recent applicants first) and hence it’ll take some more time for me to get my ID since I applied just after the start of the winter break!??

I would wait… Thy just got back from break so wait a day or three

You should wait. Cornell was on a break. I got my ID just yesterday.

Can anyone tell me how much importance does Cornell give to essays? I have applied for Computer Engineering. My SAT is not great (1410 R+M). But I think my essays are pretty good.

^ Every College gives a lot of importance to essays!! ( unless your scores are way too low, which they are not!)

@lukelev07 - Just received my ApplicantId!! So relieved!! :)

@lukelev Don’t worry if some things aren’t “in” yet–sometimes it takes a couple day for a school to register and download everything it has (happened to me when I submitted mine to Cornell and a few other schools ) You can see if they’ve downloaded it by going on common app, into the school forms section, selecting Cornell, etc. they only opened yesterday, but they’ll update it over the next week.

Essays are more important than practically everything lol Just my opinion

I wish we could fast forward a few months so we’d all have our decisions already!

I’m super excited :)

I feel ya! I can’t wait… I just want to see my acceptance letters now so I can at least decide something right now!

I have applied for engineering, European without financial aid. I think my chances of getting in are small, but I’m hopeful. I can’t believe I know have to wait for months to find out.

I applied to CALS for bio. I submitted my app early november, as I wrote my essays in the summer and I applied early action to other schools. I am waiting to do my “information session” thing so that they can report back with any information that may help boost my application. I don’t have a very good chance of getting in though…

So anyone know how tough it is to get into the soccer team at Cornell or any other university in the U.S. for that matter, if you are not a recruit??

I got my ID the day after I submitted my application. I submitted December 28. But I wouldn’t call yet because they’d be far too busy and would probably tell you to wait anyway. Wait about 10-15 days after the date you submitted (they get a lot of apps and it takes time to file everything).

Applying engineering and I pretty much fall right in the middle when it comes to testing scores , so who knows. It’s a toss up for everyone

How’s everyone handling the uncertainty of the next few months so far…

^What are your scores then? (just trying to get an idea). I’m on a gap year, so I have things planned for the next few months, but I’m looking for something to do instead.

I just received my ID, btw.

How hard is it to get into CALS? General stats?

@MaxYend 780 Math / 680 Cr so a 1460 two part. Subject tests 740 on Math I and Physics

Anyone else noticing the ID log in site is down?

^Alex Yea it’s down

The application status page is down for everyone then?

Good, I was worried it was just me.

I applied to Human Ecology as a Human Development major!!
