Cornell Class of 2017 RD Discussion

Any tips? My interviewer is older btw…

@guyinblue
You don’t need the statement for Cornell just yet.

@lukelev07
Be honest and speak from your heart. You will have easier time talking this way.

Best of luck!

This wait is TOOOOOO Long!! :/

Anyone get likely letters yet? :p

^ Then we can atleast assume that they’ve started looking at our applications and our fate may have been sealed already!!

Does cornell do likely letters for engineering?

My interview went great by the way; we talked for maybe 70 minutes…

Does anyone know if Cornell sends likely letters for Human Ecology?

@lukelev07
Glad to hear that your interview went great!
And yes, Cornell sends likelies to engineering.

@barvoets
Cornell probably sends likelies to their strongest students regardless of their intended major. Not too sure about this though.

To all.
Likely letters are rare and if you receive one, congratulations!
If you don’t receive a likely, that is absolutely normal and do not freak out. The majority of the accepted students never receive one!

Best of luck to all of us!

Cornell & all other Ivies send out likely letters to the top 5% of their applicant pool!! So if you don’t get one - you’re just among the rest 95%(like me :p)!! :)

But what is more important is the fact that likely letters are an important milestone in this admission wait and stats of those who received likely letters can help give a sense of what it takes to be a TOP applicant at Cornell or any other top university!! :D

That is actually awesome to know that we can still get in without a likely letter. I just wish decisions would come out now though! I hate all this waiting…

Is it pretty common to be offered an interview by Cornell or should it be taken as some sort of good sign? I was offered an interview this morning and was very excited to hear from them, but did not know if it meant anything.

haha look what happened when i was making my cornell applicantID…

and good luck to everyone by the way!

Interviews don’t mean anything. Just another way for Cornell to get to know you and for you to get to know Cornell

It doesn’t mean anything.

Likely letters can be sent from any of the schools at Cornell.

I’m waiting on mine from CALS.

Good luck everyone!

Gah, this wait

Ughhh any idea on when they might come? When they were sent out? I know that it doesn’t really mean much if you don’t get a letter, but I really want one!

Well it’s only around a month and a half left before we get our decisions…
But that’s still so far away

I probably got rejected. Part of my application has answers that don’t make sense I think. kinda rushed on my supplemental essay in 30-40 minutes and submitted.

and how do we check our financial aid portal? whats our net iD for that?

Does anyone know what day Ivy decisions come out this year?

Yale says by 4/1, but it also says that decisions will be made available starting 3/28…
so…
March 28th is the official Ivy Day 2013? :)
