My mom’s been so helpful throughout this waiting process. She keeps telling me that if Cornell doesn’t accept me it’s not the end of the world, and I will be fine wherever I end up.

Work experience:
I had 1 year working in a 5* hotel at the front desk, a 4 week internship in every part of a hotel in China, a 3 week internship at a marketing company, and now I work in a nice restaurant bartending and hostessing. -
What other schools:
I am only applying to BU as I am from the UK and otherwise will take a gap year if I don’t get in to either. -
Why hospitality:
Honestly I just love every aspect of it! I have always been someone of breadth rather than depth so I love the fact that hospitality encompasses marketing, real estate, finance and management as not only do all of these things interest me, but also the skills that you will learn can be applied to a spectrum of jobs out there. I also love travelling and have a passion for different cultures that I want to use to my best ability (I speak Spanish and Chinese almost fluently.

Interned at my family multiplex to see how digitization of cinema changed the film business in India, and also interned at a local startup that sells books online, to analyse how it rose to success.
Grades have been pretty good throughout. A-Level Physics, Chemistry, Math and ICT.
Can’t wait till Thursday
