@AutoFire I believe Cornell’s financial aid and admissions departments aren’t even connected, so I’m not sure how much of an impact being able to afford the tuition would have
@AutoFire I still don’t understand why colleges (like Cornell) nickel-and-dime you for every little thing such as printing and wifi (after you’re over the monthly limit) after you’re paying 60k a year. I mean unless the ink is made from real gold and the wifi is 600 Gbps…
@AutoFire however they do acknowledge they aren’t need blind for international applicants
I am struggling so much to keep Thursday evening out of my mind. Literally everyone at school keeps telling me ‘‘2 days!’’ and I just stare like ~X( @-)
@RSalvatierra
I feel you! All of my friends keep on saying things to me that are just stressing me out even more! The worst is some of them are keep saying to me that I will definitely get in, but what if I don’t!! I’m going to be so embarrassed!!!
Exactly! So many of my classmates are telling me that I’ll definitely get in…but its easier said than done!!
…and then of course there are really ignorant students who say “CORNELL IS EASY TO GET IN”
I honestly want to say something back at their face, but I just keep it in.
@corgis i remember they asked on the ca??? Confused
My girlfriend told me that if I don’t get in, she will cut her hair. Do you realize how crazy that is? [-(
@RSalvatierra wow…
@RSalvatierra
that is so crazy… is she ok? Does she know that Cornell has a 14% acceptance!?
I live at Wisconsin, and the results are announced at 4 here. I’ll be at my chemistry discussion session, feeling incredibly nervous to open the status. At least my professor went to Cornell for his undergrad, so I hope his Cornell “aura” brings a positive effect on me. haha
@AutoFire I dont recall that they did bc I remember asking my guidance counselor about it since they didnt ask but who knows anymore
I wonder what the percentage of those deferred Ed get accepted rd
i’ve told myself multiple times now that if i do get rejected, it’s nothing to be embarrassed or ashamed about. it doesn’t mean i wasn’t qualified for cornell. i’m confident in myself and my accomplishments in my short 17 years of life. it just means i didn’t belong at cornell, and i know i will find the place i belong and was meant to be at
That’s exactly what I told her. No one, absolutely no one has a guaranteed spot. No matter your stats. Guess she doesn’t care about that. :ar!
@DivergingLens without the policy if i got in i might print tons of paper from cornell to earn back my tuition money lol
when you have the alma mater memorized and havent gotten into the school yet XD
@RSalvatierra brb i’m still finding a gf…
