Pretty sure no one else in my school (senior class~700) applied ED either… We average 1 or 2 EDs a year
Have a bunch of people applying ED from my school. Luckily applying from NY to CALS which has a responsibility to take in more NY people.
@alexissanchez30 you can’t say they are directly competing. It’s mainly an inderect factor. It won’t hurt you, but coming from a region with fewer applicants can help you.

@michaelbuble My plan is to open my rejection letter, cry, and let Michael Buble serenade me with his beautiful voice during his Xmas special which airs rejection(decision) night.
@Fellowship Even though my school has a good track record with Cornell RD (usually around 25%-50% accepted per year), we only had 3 students do ED in our school’s history. Our counselors ho out of their way to discourage students from doing ED. I had mine call me in and have an hour long discussion about it with me as she tried to explain how I was making a huge mistake before agreeing to sign my ED agreement. :))

+Not being from NY doesn’t hurt x], plus there’s way more people applying from NY than any other state so accepting a larger number doesn’t really mean much.
I know decisions don’t come out until tomorrow (it’s the 9th right now for me) I just can’t sleep, and I have no BC test this week so I can’t convince myself to go to sleep.

Why the heck do they have a problem with ED. Almost everyone I know applied ED. ED is a beautiful/evil thing I guess.
