Cornell Class of 2020 Early Decision Discussion

@FZM777 I write a few words then refresh this thread and can’t concentrate on writing them at all. Just the possibility that I could be wasting my time writing these when tomorrow I could get accepted into Cornell is really getting to me, lol. It’s horrible, I just want this wait to be over :frowning:

@wanttobestudent what is it supposed to show if you manage to login? Mine just says “Either your session has timed out or you are not currently logged in.”

Everything will be OK, I promise it’ll be OK

I haven’t started any because I’m getting into Cornell

Smh. This housing thing gave me brand new anxiety. This is not healthy for someone who has an anxiety disorder.

@crossovercuber I average like 17 seconds, my best is 12. you? I didn’t think I would meet another cuber here lol

Me too @corgis
Currently I am debating whether I should stay up the whole night until 3 AM when the result comes in my time zone or should I go to a nightmare filled sleep.

@metacuber Does solving them by robots count as a “cuber”?

Wait a minute…if you can log in to the housing portal it means you are in? I am not going to check…I don’t want to find out that way…

@NICE8x It only works for those who have been at Cornell before or something
It is not related with admissions. So no need to worry.

@metacuber I average 13 and my best in 8.89, there is actually another cuber in this tread, but he has just taken a hiatus from posting on here

@metacuber @crossovercuber I can do it in like a minute. I’ve never really gone for high times, but I used to get around 30-45 seconds when I was in middle school and had no one to talk to :stuck_out_tongue: . Guess I’m just not on your level, but I’ll beat any of you at minesweeper.

The record got broken two times in a day. My average is 10 seconds and my best is 7.19.

@rhdhtai when you log onto this link with your net id from summer college , if you can get on we think its a good sign, but are not sure. But it only will work for those who went to the summer college. It will either just let you access everything, or it will say something along the lines of net id not found.

@metacuber @PhunguSAE @rubiksprodigy I working towards a 12 average, this was my common essay topic. Did you guys mention it in your app

The more and more I think about it the more I think I’m differed. Honestly I’d almost rather be rejected, cause then I have closure, a concrete answer. After waiting what seems like a month for the past three days an actual month would kill me.

Yea I rather get rejected and get closure and honestly I feel like stats don’t matter much at Cornell, like people with amazing stats and decent ec get rejected 90% of the time

whoops forgot the link @rhdhtai

@wanttobestudent I doubt it means anything (not tryna jinx anything). Do you know summer college kids who used their applicant IDs and still couldnt open the housing portal?

yes!!! and they couldn’t get on this link
