Cornell Class of 2020 Early Decision Discussion

@roaringtiger ED decisions come out on the 10

Cornell downloaded everything from my commonapp but my parent’s ED agreement, does that mean anything? (do they just don’t care about my ED agreement bc they aren’t going to accept me?) Ugh, I’m getting so paranoid these days.

Same with me- all of my other stuff has been downloaded, even the first quarter grades I submitted yesterday but not the parent ED agreement I submitted on October 6th…

@hayley636 @yzluvsu how do you find out what has been downloaded?

Mine too.
I guess they do not need it until they have accepted you because technically the agreement plays no part in the selection process.

@rosiem714 It’s on the page where you check if the teachers submitted their recommendations. The “submitted” date underneath changes to “downloaded” date after they download the documents.

Are there any other girls here applying to the engineering school

Yeah I doubt they need it because its only a signature

@yzluvsu is it in the self service portal? because I cant find it

@SaifoSehamy @fairpear @AutoFire is there any way to see whether or not they have received your portfolio/ portfolio review stuff? They would have contacted us if they hadn’t received those things right? It’s not on the application status thing…I think I’m just freaking out, but just double checking.

Just got a email from Cornell asking for clarification on my financial aid (complicated in my situation) that said they were in the process of reviewing my app. Hope this is a good sign

What does this downloaded thing mean??

They downloaded my ED agreement in Nov 3 so I don’t think it indicates anything.

@yliuxin PLEASE tell me where I can see the downloads

You can see it in the recommendations section of your Cornell application in common app.

@yliuxin THANK YOU

how did the Q1 grades show up on the downloads page for you guys? would it be the mid year report?

Hmm I kind of doubt we can interpret financial aid updates or other common app things as indication of admission.

I mentioned my fin aid email mostly so that others might be sure to check for emails, etc. but we are all probably worried enough to check multiple times a day

Yes
