Cornell Class of 2020 Early Decision Discussion

@Mminjjae

@MminjjaeYou have to send a non filing student tax form. It’s available on their website

@CCSenioritis sorry I dont know this but does that mean anything? Because some people said they didn’t get the notification

@vpm3660 Does what mean anything? The tax form? I’m not 100% sure but I’m doing everything I can to make sure I get the proper aid bc w/o it, I might as well get a rejection lol

@c0rnell Oh no no no I didn’t think you were accusing anyone here of that lol. I was just saying.

I thought federal income tax for parents was “2014 Parent Income Verf Form”.

Can you also copy and paste a link for non-filing student tax form, @CCSenioritis ? (I can’t find it…)

*I didn’t work on 2014, so do I have to fill it?

yea true I got it too, but its weird how some people did and some people didn’t. Like we all submitted the same things on Nov. 1st, why is this different. UGGHHHHHHHH

Anyone else get a call from admissions regarding 1st quarter grades?

@Atinix My 1Q grades were sent with my transcript so nope.

@vpm3660 I still don’t know what you’re talking about lol

@Mminjjae Here you go: http://finaid.cornell.edu/sites/finaid.cornell.edu/files/NonFile%20Student%202014%20Early%20Dec.pdf
… and ya even if you didn’t work fill it out. Just put $0 and that you didn’t work.

@moonstar9869 I applied SHA too and I had a phone interview. My interviewer didn’t give me the option to do a skype call, but since a phone interview is much more difficult, if you think you did well then I think you’re fine. Even though they said that an interview wasn’t mandatory for this year, my interviewer still took notes on everything that I said, so I still think its a factor in our admissions decision. Good luck by the way! I hope we get in.

Guys, can anyone please give me a definite answer to whether I should send in my first quarter grades or not? ~X(

@polyglot05 Have they asked you for your first quarter grades? If they then the answer is pretty obvious, send them. If not, I think whether or not you send them is a choice. If you get accepted, from thereon you will still have to submit a midyear report and all. But, that’s about it as far as I’m aware.

Gl to everyone applying.

@SquadGoals Thanks! My interviewer said she liked me, but I have no idea what she actually wrote. I’m really curious why they made the hotel school interviews optional this year. And how many applicants did it.
