I’ve spent upwards of 7 months writing my common app essay. It gets a lot of “wows” when people read it. I still need to cut it down by 100 words tho
As for the supplement, that one is a lot easier. Just be really really REALLY specific about why you would fit at Cornell and stuff

@Koboko Same that’s why I have UVA, UNC Chapel Hill, and Georgia Tech that I’m applying to early action just in case because I’m so done with my big school at this point I just want to be done haha.

When should I request my transcript? Would it be better to wait until first quarter is over, or is that not going to matter? Heck, I should probably just ask my counselor about this…
by the time first quarter is over for me. application will be due. each semester is 9 quarter for us
Gotcha. I wonder if my school puts my quarter grades on the transcript or not…I’ll have to check that out…so far I can’t request teacher reqs because our school counselors haven’t updated Naviance yet…
I mighta asked this before, but how do APs work at Cornell? I know at Duke they’ll only accept 1 AP credit to use to exempt a course, no matter how many APs you’ve taken. Does Cornell run a similar rip-off of a system? I hope not…I’d like to never take Psych, Econ, Gov, AND Lit again (or whatever their course equivalents are called).
^^^ I would like to know this too! Also, does anyone know if you can take the October ACT even if you are applying ED? I hopefully won’t need to but just want to be sure…
Just kidding - figured it out. I’m applying to ILR and they have a whole AP Credit file on their website.

@kolakoala Finished both essays and everything else, waiting for teacher and counselor reqs…so close to being done. Anyone taking the SAT on Saturday? I hope they don’t eff up the test like they did in June!
