as we have now come to the time when we can count on 1 hand the number of days we have left, i’d like to say thank you to you all on this thread. you all have helped me feel so much better knowing others around the world have been feeling the exact same way i have as decision day comes closer and closer. thank you for being such a wonderful, supportive group of people. i really hope the best for all of us. you all deserve that “Congratulations” page upon entering your decision portal! :x

@NotAMathlete I think alumni interviews are based on which alumni are available and close to you, so there must have been an alumna from the college your friend is applying to close by and maybe not one for your college. Most of these “interviews” are not evaluative and are like info sessions, unless you’re applying to the architecture school or something.

Our son was admitted to CoE in 2010 ED. It was so exciting! Now, he has graduated and is employed. I would say that Cornell engineering is VERY challenging. Don’t let anyone tell you that MIT or anywhere else is more stressful or a better education. Cornell is tough, but worth it! For all of you who are lucky enough to attend this university, be ready to study! The CS degree is phenomenal. Bill Gates donated Gates Hall because he so valued Cornell’s graduates and what they have done for Microsoft. Reading all your comments reminds me of the anxiety we felt back in 2010. I would say graduating from Cornell is special, very special. Special note: for all you engineers, look at the Dyson Business minor for engineers. It’s a great link to the business world.

@SaifoSehamy have been looking at my portfolio again and again (10+ per day) to see whether my arts are real pretty or just only pretty for myself lol. Sometimes, especially now, I feel I might be in a huge delusion of my own abilities. Every compliments in the past seems to be just an empty praise to make me feel good, or comes from non artistic people who would praise at any artwork at any rate. I know for a fact that human psychology makes us to like something if we are really familiar with it, including art. This is so troublesome because artist skills such as creativity or just mere technique cannot be rated by a third party tests to let me assess myself unbiasedly. Damn I should be more confident of myself.
Lol i really want to buy a shirt so i can wear it to school the next day if i get in, but im afraid that if i dont, i still would have the shirt to haunt me…
