@guitar321 CHE stands for college of human ecology
Any stats on how many percent are rejected with interview. I’m aware that alumni interviews don’t play a significant role in deciding.
did anyone from ILR or SHA receive a diversity letter?
No haha I meant which college considers socioeconomic diversity @CCSenioritis but thanks lol. Also @liv101 I imagine that Cornell reviews applications very holistically and would create a diverse class in all aspects I’m not sure if there’s leniency, of course, but there’s definitely diversity
OHHHHH oops lol @guitar321
@liv101 Cornell is need-blind so they don’t take your income into consideration when making a decision. However, if your income played a role in your application and that comes across to them, then it can be to your advantage!
Lol I was pretty vague tho @CCSenioritis
@guitar321 I live in Massachusetts and my state school, umass Amherst, considers me a student of diversity. Thanks for the help
@CCSenioritis Wait, I thought Cornell wasn’t need blind
@Grapess All Ivies are need blind
Anyone else from CALS get this???

Your admittance packet is in the mail!
@kunchandak @CCSenioritis oh my bad I was confused with the policy for International students.
@CCSenioritis did CHE send you the email about decisions or did you ask them? They didn’t send me an email and I’m really nervous
@penn2020 Yes my son got one for CALS Dyson.
@Grapess I think Cornell is also need blind for internationals applying for Class 2020 but doesn’t ensure they will give financial aid to all the admitted internationals.
@Penn2020 My son received that email as well. Exciting!
@cuhopeful16 If you’re referring to the email saying when decisions were coming out then no, it just showed up in my inbox a few days ago. Don’t worry you can still get in!
@Starior No…I just checked again. “Cornell University provides need-based financial aid on a limited basis to a selected number of admitted international students who have applied for financial aid.” It would’ve been nice if it were need-blind.
@CCSenioritis I’m so glad to hear you got in! I remember reading the feed in December hoping you got and I was so sad when you didn’t! Hopefully CHE will accept two deferred students!
Here is a link to the RD 2020 Decision Thread for whoever is brave enough on March 31 to share
@aBitOfLuck thanks for going through the motion of creating that thread! We already have a results thread however, and if people start posting on yours, it might just get a bit messy haha. Everyone should use the one already created for convenience!
