Cornell Class of 2020 Regular Decision Discussion Thread

US citizin from california

Oh man I just caught my own typo, how did I spill citizen wrong AGH it’s too late to edit it

@timbertoner go to the best safety school you got into, do well, and transfer to Cornell as soon as you can. MUCH easier to transfer then to get in EA or RD.

has anybody received anything about financial aid? I looked on old posts on collegeconfidential and those student usually had their decisions on 2nd of April

@dianaDM I received my financial aid package today, which was surprising because they were having problems confirming my citizenship and made it seem like they weren’t going to calculate anything.

@allthingstesla did you get an email before checking the portal?

@MohTamer - because Cornell admits by college and you applied to the College of Engineering.

Was anyone else selected as a tradition fellow? Anyone know more about this?

@liv101 My son was selected as a Traditions Fellow. Did you get the email? There is link to a page that explains it very well.

To all of my GTers… when do we receive our letter

@verizonwireless got one through email today

@motortrend are you ILR?

And what does it say

Accepted by CHE!!

@slara980 They need an applicant ID to log into the financial aid decision portal… Where did you get that? Has any other international student received aid notification yet?

The portal does say “inquiry access denied” — has anyone else been able to view their aid decision?

@liesa981
Nope, I can’t.
Got the same issue but I did receive an email today stating that some FA doc missing:

"Dear ####,

Our records indicate that you wish to be considered for financial aid; however, your application is currently incomplete. To find out what you are missing, please log in to your “To Do List”. If you no longer wish to apply for financial aid, or you wish to apply for federal aid only, please let us know by replying to this email. "

@verizonwireless I got one today too, I’m CALS

According to the website (http://finaid.cornell.edu/apply-aid/newly-admitted-students)
“Selected students will receive an aid decision letter with their official acceptance packet. Students who are not selected to receive financial aid will be notified via email.”

The way it’s worded, I don’t think international students are able to view their financial aid package online?

Anyone who got the transfer option would like to form a group on facebook, or anywhere to talk about it?It’s extremely exciting for being offer a spot despite of immediate rejection! Keep calm and carry on guys!

Got in CAS. Probably not going though because well, its cornell lol.
