Bad news guys. If you are wait listed for the engineering school, they will be sending out rejection letters early to late next week. I just called Cornell today, and the woman told me that they will not be taking anyone from that wait list. I do not know about other schools, though.
This isn’t looking good for the rest of us. Other schools stay positive
Everyone should be looking to and getting excited about their committed school at this point. If you are lucky enough to get a call from C, then wahooo! But temper your expectations to expect nothing. This seemed like a very tough year. Many schools seem to be closing the WL unused or barely used:(
My S is going to Michigan. If C calls, he will switch bc the AEM program is assured, and at Michigan he would need to apply to Ross. But he has accepted that C is not likely to happen and is embracing Michigan fully!
Got off the wait list for spring for CAS this morning. Kind of surprised cause I didn’t sent a letter of continued interest.
Congrats:)
Anyone else got an email update?
@pericolo1021 Just received the rejection letter for the engineering school. You were right.
Rejected from CAS.
Anything from SHA???
CALS rejection.
Sorry guys
Rejected from Cornell CAS and Johns Hopkins today
Received my acceptance for CHE on Friday
I still have not gotten anything from CALS (no acceptance, no rejection, no communication at all except when i sent in my letter of continued interest). Should I be worried that somehow I didn’t even get put on the waitlist? Anyone else not heard back?
Rejected from CALS. However, the letter is sending mixed signals. It says I was rejected for Fall 2016. Does this also mean that I am unable to receive an acceptance for Spring 2017 or a guaranteed transfer notification for Fall 2017?
@screenname365 yeah. I said yes for Spring CAS and they only mentioned fall, but it means spring is full too I think. They would’ve said something if we are still being considered for spring so I assume it’s over
@sisirox I also haven’t heard back from Cornell at all, I also applied to CALS. hopefully we hear back from Cornell soon!
@screenname365 sorry to hear that. Which major did you apply to for cals and was the rejection by snail mail?
also, those of you that were accepted, was it via phone call or email?
Our son was asked via email this past Friday whether he would still be interested for FYSA Spring 2017. He had to respond by 9am today (Monday). He sent email last night expressing continued interest. He was offered admission via email today just after 11am. This is in CAS. He is set to go to UVA (in state) this Fall. Need to see how this pans out.
