@AlwaysL8 yeah, i think that would be best. Goodluck to us!
is there a transfer option for CAS? I really hope so b/c that’s the school I applied to. I’ve only heard this happen for CALS or ILR…
I mean a GT option for CAS. I really want to go to Cornell, even if it means waiting another year. I’m a first year applicant BTW.
@lenasharb i think so? you can search up transfer option CAS and i think it should be the first one to pop up. Goodluck!
I JUST WANT AN ADMISSIONS DECISION SO I CAN GO ON WITH MY LIFE
^
Anyone have an idea on when that’ll be?
beginning the second week of april through early may i believe
How did you guys submit your midterm reports? Cos I mailed mine on March 14th and that’s the only thing not checked off my portal
Just checking, we do not need to submit teacher recs, right?
@092498 yes, we don’t need to
I submitted mine through the online submission page but still hasn’t been checked off yet. Did anyone else submit it through this site? https://forms.admissions.cornell.edu/webform/admissions/submit.php
@aangimoti how were you able to submit it? Cos I don’t have any CA/UCA ID
@idekidc I actually just used the CAID I used when I applied as first-year applicant. I wrote down my email, date of birth, etc so I’m hoping that they placed it in my file correctly lol
@aihcxx I’m a current senior who also got TO and is heavily considering NEU for my first year! How has your experience been and are you still qualified to transfer? I’m worried on how difficult NEU is in keeping the 3.5 minimum while still meeting all of CUs requirements.
@uclacali103 not the person you mentioned but I go to NEU right now and am in the TO process. I’m still fulfilling all of the requirements and I’ve found classes challenging but not overwhelming (although I’m mainly in introductory classes or ones that I previously took AP). As long as you stay on track, you shouldn’t have too much of an issue maintaining the requirements. Also, if you are seriously considering taking the TO, pick a school you would be okay with staying at if it doesn’t work out–that’s why I chose NEU.
Hey everyone! I’m a gt for human ecology! I was notified this week. Does anybody have any tips?
@HERCULES_HERCULES pick a school you genuinely like and could see yourself staying at for all 4 years–a lot of people do end up changing their minds over the course of the year. if you are really committed to transferring, go somewhere you think you’d be able to meet the requirements for and don’t choose too difficult of a schedule. i’m also a GT for humec and i think they have slightly higher requirements than other colleges. also–realize you don’t have to figure all of this out right now. you have plenty of time to decide and plan things out, and cornell is really supportive throughout the whole process.
Is the HumEc transfer option still a guaranteed transfer? The HumEc website explicitly states it’s not a guaranteed transfer, and I still have to write an essay when I reapply for transfer next year. If I fulfill all the requirements, is there any way that I won’t be offered transfer admission?
@markieff as far as i know (try reading the GT Class of 2020 thread), it’s guaranteed as long as you complete all requirements—required courses, 3.3 GPA.
