Hey guys, thought I would jump in and create this thread for hopeful Cornell ED applicants!
Hoping to apply ED, interested to hear other people’s results.
S20 will be applying to Cornell ED. Engineering (chemical, eventually). 3.975 UW, 4.6 W GPA, two varsity sports all four years (one team is regularly top 10 in state); played both sports since he was 6; minor inconsequential interest from couple coaches; attends a very music-focused HS, is first chair for his performance band instrument (highest rated performance band in state), and section leader for marching band (NOT highest rated band in state, but is gigantic); a few state awards for his instrument, but I think they hand those out like candy. A few minor academic awards (again, handed out like candy). 1510 SAT (790 math, 720 EWR); 790 on both Math 2 and Chem SAT II. Four AP 5’s in STEM classes. No other consequential EC’s. No leadership or regular volunteer efforts. Works residential construction during all breaks for past 3 years. Knows how to install plumbing.
Quiet, typical teenager. Is generally nice to his sister. Always nice to the dog and cat. Researched colleges to death and, no doubt about it, Cornell is THE ONE. Fully acknowledges long shot nature of this decision, and is fortunately very pleased with his safety, too.
Fall sport started yesterday. Decisions have been made for apps. Essays written. Here we go. Next stop, Dec 15th-ish.
I’ll be applying ED too. The deadline is already frightening me - especially with subject tests included.
Can anyone chance me?

HSHB is a hard major. Your GPA looks about right, but the SAT is average for Cornell, and HBHS students come in with stellar profiles. If you think you’re ready then apply, but just be forewarned about the test score
Can anyone chance me for SHA
Hello everyone. I am a current Cornell student in the class of 2023. I am currently a pre-med studying Human Biology, Health, and Society in the College of Human Ecology. I was admitted through regular decision so I am not sure if this will help, but here are my stats when I applied:
-GPA: Unweighted 3.98 (our school didn’t have weighted)
-ACT: 35
-SAT: 1560 (800 math, 760 reading and writing)
-SAT II: 800 math II, 800 chemistry, 770 Bio M
Let me know if there are any questions! I also have extracurriculars but the list is too long to list completely.
